When the fence is fully extended, some amount of movement is not uncommon for this class of saw. It will not affect the accuracy of your rip cuts. That said, it is important to ensure that the fence rail is locked in place to reduce movement when using the Compact Table Saw. Additionally, should you find that you prefer to have the fence a bit more rigid, it is possible to make some adjustments to reduce the amount of movement in the fence when extended.
