The motors on the Compact Table Saw and the Jobsite Saw Pro are not the same. The Compact Table Saw uses a direct drive motor, whereas the Jobsite Saw Pro has a belt drive motor. There are several advantages to a belt drive motor including noise and vibration suppression.
