Brake Cartridges: SawStop’s brake cartridges provide groundbreaking safety by stopping the blade within milliseconds of detecting skin contact. The Standard Brake Cartridge is compatible with 254 mm (10″) blades.
It’s a good idea to keep an extra brake cartridge on-hand in case of a contact event. Simply replace the blade and cartridge and you’re back to work.

Revolutionary Safety Protection: Microprocessor-The lightning fast microprocessor is always sensing for a drop in the voltage coming from the blade. It activates the safety system within 5 milliseconds once it detects contact with skin.
Heavy Duty Spring-As soon as that microprocessor senses the drop in voltage, it sends a surge of electricity through a fuse wire that holds the spring in place.
